Top Ten Tuesday (2)

Top Ten Authors I Wish Would Write Another Book:
1. Dorothy Parker: poet, critic, short story writer, and crowned queen of snark forever, Parker wins a place in my Favorite People Ever List. As far as I know, she never wrote a full length novel! So I would like her to. Although, I'd easily trade this for a time machine so I could meet her.
2. F. Scott Fitzgerald: All of the recent 1920's-based YA books make me want to revisit Fitzgerald. I feel like the world can only get better with more of F. Scott's works in it.
3. Holly Black: This is my way of expressing my desperate need for the third Curseworkers book. I know it's already written and coming out in the summer or something, but whatever. I just need it.
4. Megan Miranda: Technically speaking, Fracture isn't even out yet, but I burned through Miranda's debut novel so fast it was ridiculous. I'll read anything she writes in the future.
5. Alexandra Bracken: I know that she has The Darkest Minds coming out later this year, but I'm going to Veruca Salt this one and say, "I WANT IT NOOOOW." Brightly Woven was so fresh and different, I want to see what else Bracken has for us.
6. Suzanne Collins: I love The Hunger Games and would be interested to see Collins tackle another YA project.
7. Kathryn Stockett: I read The Help last year and adored it. More books about southern life and people, please.
8. Roald Dahl: My favorite children's writer and author of Matilda, along with a myriad of others. Dahl understands children perfectly and I wish that there were more books by him around.
9. Stephanie Perkins: I know Isla and the Happily Ever After is in the works, but still. Perfect contemporary novels are perfect.
10. Rosemary Clement-Moore: I very much enjoyed both The Splendor Falls and Texas Gothic. She does a good paranormal with a bit of romance book that isn't the usual cliche paranormal romance nonsense.
